Sponsor A Child

For each student to go to school, even though the school is free, they need to buy a uniform, school supplies and they need to pay a very small amount for school lunches, less than a pound a term. However, rural Rwanda does not have a money economy; instead, families grow what they need for themselves and trade items, such as corn for milk. This leads to almost no money circulation, so even paying less than a pound for food is expensive for them. By funding a student, you can choose how much time (in years) you would like to assist a student. The amount of money will be predetermined by the needs of the student. This could include things like:

  • Uniforms

  • Shoes

  • Notebooks

  • Pens

  • Backpacks
